The pesticide trade is one of the largest global businesses. At the same time, millions of people worldwide suffer from pesticide poisoning every year. Highly Hazardous Pesticides (HHPs) pose a particular threat to people and their environment. With a share of just under ten percent, Germany’s role as an important player in the global pesticide trade, and its resulting responsibility are undisputed.
